October 5, 2012 — Clear Image Devices LLC (CiD) has announced the release of its newest product, the Extra-Wide 2-Step Platform for weight-bearing lateral X-rays of the feet, ankle and lower leg.
The Extra Wide 2-Step Platform enables imaging technicians tocomfortably place large patients in the optimal positionfor the safe and easy capture of the highest quality weight-bearing images. This new platform, similar to the popular 19-inch-wide, 2-Step Platform, is a full 30 inches wide, with a weight capacity of 500 lbs. This wider platform with a safety grab bar has been an often-requested custom step platform for imaging centers treating bariatric patients. This step platform has models to fit allCR (computed radiography)and film cassettes as well as most portableDR (digital radiography)panels. It may also be used with a wall Bucky.
The Extra Wide 2-Step Platform is easily maneuverable, with built-in rollers and grab bars. Made of solid non-porous polyethylene, the platform is germ resistant and easy to keep clean.
