August 12, 2021 — RSNA 2021 will require proof ofCOVID-19vaccination from all in-person attendees and exhibitors at the Society’s107thScientific Assembly and Annual Meeting(RSNA 2021) to be held at McCormick Place Chicago, Nov. 28 – Dec. 2, 2021.

“With a mission that focuses on health and patient care, RSNA is strongly committed to protecting the health and safety of all meeting attendees, and—by extension—their families, colleagues, friends, and the global community,” said RSNA presidentMary C. Mahoney, M.D.“As the convener of the world’s leading medical imaging forum, we want to provide the safest possible meeting environment for all our participants.”

RSNA will require proof of vaccination from all meeting attendees and exhibitor personnel prior to the meeting or upon admittance to McCormick Place. Additional details, including instructions for the verification process, will be provided in the coming weeks.

“There is strong consensus among health care experts that theCOVID-19vaccines are effective in reducing the chance of serious illness or death resulting from the disease,” Mahoney said.

RSNA will also followCenters for Disease Control and Prevention(CDC), state and local recommendations in place at the time of the meeting in regard to social distancing and will require that RSNA 2021 attendees wear masks in all public indoor spaces.

RSNA is working closely with the City of Chicago and McCormick Place to provide a safe and comfortable experience for attendees. McCormick Place has enhanced its air quality and cleaning procedures and has received multiple accreditations for maintaining a safe and hygienic environment.

RSNA’s robust virtual meeting component will allow unvaccinated individuals to participate in the meeting remotely. The Virtual Meeting will offer 100% of eligible meeting programming with on-demand content through April 30, 2022.

RSNA will continue to monitor CDC recommendations and will update safety measures as appropriate.
