The industry loses one of its own. On March 29, Jeannie Danker, director of radiology at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center, died from suspected complications from the virus.

Roxas Memorial District Hospital in Iloilo City, Philippines. He used X-ray film that had gone bad with the emulsion stripped off, foam packing material, elastic and a glue gun to make own face shields for the techs. A viral trend among healthcare works across social media has been to post selfies with signs that say "We stayed at work for you, you stay home for us," to drive home the message that social distancing is needed for COVID-19 containment efforts. The pandemic has kept people at home and cancelled blood drives that were planned, creating a massive shortage of blood. Brig. Gen. Nursing homes and hospice care facilities closed to visitors and extreme precautions went into place in March 2020 as a precaution to protect patients from COVID-19 infections. United Imaging has installed its first transportable CT Scanner at Maimonides Medical Center in New York City to help expand its capacity for imaging during the fight against coronavirus in the U.S. As the hospital scales its operations to meet the needs of an expected influx of coronavirus patients, doubling its capacity to 1,400 beds, United Imaging’s scanner will help expand its capacity for imaging studies to support diagnosis and treatment.
